The Skill Visa is given to those with the skills needed to fill shortages in particular Australian regions. The needs of the Australian economy determine how often these skill requirements vary. These skill lists are divided into three groups:

List of Short-Term Skilled Jobs
List of Regional Occupations Depending on your application, you may be able to live and work in Australia on a skilled migration visa. You can live and work anywhere in Australia if you are requesting an independent visa. If you are sponsored by a state or region, you are not permitted to leave that state or region of Australia until you have lived and worked there for the required period of time.
